What is a workspace
A team boundary. Knowledge, apps, and skills are shared by permission.
A workspace is a team space. Chat, knowledge, agents, lightweight apps, and controlled data belong to the workspace you selected, so teams do not mix.
Who a workspace is for
A company, school, department, or project. Switch from the workspace name in the top bar.
What you can do before selecting one
You can still use:
- Messages (the help assistant)
- Contacts (friends and direct chat)
- Workspace collaboration
- Me
Your own agents, the skill center, apps, workflows, and most assistant capabilities need a workspace first.
Who can join
People join by invite or by requesting to join. Admins enable capabilities and maintain team knowledge here.
What is shared
| Shared by default | Not shared by default |
|---|---|
| Workspace knowledge documents | Your conversations |
| Workspace apps and skills | Personal memory and private files |
| Authorized data capabilities | Other workspaces |
Workspaces do not cross each other's bounds.
